Facial & Volume Symmetry Preparation Guidelines

· Refrain from consuming alcohol and smoking for a minimum of 24 hours before your dermal filler treatment.

· We recommend scheduling your procedure at least two weeks before any special occasions or events.

· Avoid the use of anti-inflammatory medications prior to the treatment.

· If you have active infections in the intended treatment area, it's best to postpone your dermal filler session.

· Allow for a four-week gap between receiving wrinkle and fine line concerns treatment and undergoing significant dental work.

· Plan to remain in the local area for at least two weeks following your dermal filler treatment for optimal aftercare and follow-up.

· Ensure there's a four-week separation between receiving a COVID vaccination and scheduling your dermal filler appointment to minimize any potential interactions.

• · Refrain from engaging in high-intensity or aerobic exercises for the initial 24 hours after your treatment.

· Abstain from smoking and alcohol consumption for the first 24 hours post-treatment.

· Avoid any rubbing or massaging of the treated area.

· Do not lay or apply pressure on the treated area for a full day.

· Hold off on applying makeup for at least 12 hours following the procedure.

· For cheek augmentation, it's advisable to steer clear of tight headwear such as helmets and sunglasses for up to four weeks.

· Avoid waxing or resurfacing the treated area.

· Do not use ibuprofen, aspirin, or fish oil for the first 24 hours after the injections.

· In case of bruising, which is a minor and temporary risk, you can conceal it with makeup. 

. Arnica tablets and Hirudoid cream may help alleviate bruising.

· It's normal to feel some lumps for up to 2 weeks as your body adjusts to the newly added volume. If you notice any lumps or have concerns, please contact your Registered Nurse immediately at 04337 04337.

· Complete results may take between two to four weeks to become fully apparent. It's recommended that you attend your scheduled follow-up appointment with your cosmetic nurse for optimal care and assessment.
